Dredging Today: MTCC Wins Henbadhoo Dredging Contract
The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) has won a contract to design and construct N. Henbadhoo Harbor, located in Noonu Atoll, an administrative division of the Government of the Maldives.
Director General at the Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure, Fathimath Shana Farooq, signed the deal yesterday on behalf of the Government and the MTCC CEO, Hassan Shah, put his signature on behalf of the company.
Under the agreement, the N. Henbadhoo Harbor project will include:
1000m harbor pavement work;
dredging of 44,616 cbm of material;
construction of a 223m breakwater;
86m of revetment;
904m quay wall.
The project is estimated to cost $1.7 million.
